Yes. That is the cat in the back ground… Did I mention he’s kinda nosey and likes gummy bears?
Yeah he smelt the gummy bears and he came a’runnin’ I couldn’t lock him in the bathroom considering I didn’t know where he was hiding at the time. Thinking I could pull a fast one on the guy… I feel like if he’s not eating Birdie we should be in the clear. Other then living with Leroi, I’ve been on a popcorn/ summer junk food kick. It reminds me of better times in my life. Kinda well I don’t know about better. but good yeah good sounds a lot more fitting.
So I put together this bark. Totes bonks. (totally bonkers)
Have I shared with you I was invited to a summer film festival in another state? Maybe I should market this chocolate bark I mean it’s an all in one snack except the drink but I figured I’d sneak that in… With my 8 course meal I mean what’s a trip/ night to the movies without sneaking in your 8 course meal and slurpee… (Mary I’m talking about you girl!)
I’m thinking about setting up shop on the internet you know with etsy
In the fall and winter I could send out candies and such without it melting. It’s still in the works and thoughts. If I could I would make my blogging a full-time gig… To be able to work from home would be wonderful. Be able to write a cookbook and to be published.
It also works for parties…
Movie Theater Candy Chocolate Bark
16 ounces of your favorite milk or dark chocolate
1 1/2 cups buttered + salted popcorn
1/3 cup gummy bears
Line a small baking sheet with a sheet of aluminum foil, then place a sheet of parchment paper over it.
Melt 14 ounces of the chocolate, either in the microwave (I do this in 30 second increments, stirring afterwards until it is all melted – be careful, it can burn quickly!) or with a double boiler. Pour the chocolate on the parchment paper and use a spatula to spread it into a square or rectangle. Throw some of the popcorn, candy and sprinkles on top any way you like, making sure they stick. To make the bark quickly, stick the pan in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Melt the remaining 2 ounces of chocolate, remove the pan from the fridge and drizzle it over top. Add any additional candy or sprinkles you’d like, then place back in the fridge for a few minutes to set.
