Brown Sugar Beer Pickles

So I made pickles again… but these have beer and brown sugar. They are sweet and have a kick!

You can use them  for tailgating…

You can make them the night before for a quick pickle.  they still will have a nice hearty crunch!

You can eat these plain or a burger even a sandwich.

I really don’t care for pickles. I know it’s weird I made them and tasted them. It’s just not my thing…

I will be giving these to someone. Duh!

I like the smell of cucumbers

Brown Sugar Beer Pickles

 Makes 1 jar of pickles

2 cucumbers

1-12 oz bottle of beer use a pale ale

1/3 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1/4 cup water

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon pickling spice (I used McCormick)

In a medium saucepan combine beer, water, vinegar, sugar, and salt. Place over medium-high heat and stir occasionally to dissolve sugar. Bring to a simmer and then turn off heat add pickling spice after you turn off heat. In a clean large glass jar (or a multiple smaller jars) put cucumbers in a jar Pour the pickling liquid over the cucumbers making sure that they are completely covered. Seal jar or jars and let rest in the refridgerator for at least 12 to 24 hours before eating.
